Business Cards

At long last I have designed and printed business cards. I got the 2 sided kind so I could provide a price list. Anyone who bought a creation from me in 2008 get 10% off in 2009 :)
This is a shawl for my friend and colleague Mitali Tewari. Mitali has been through Hell and come back the other side recently. I wanted to make her something feminine and soft to the touch. This is Araucania Quellon #2 in pinks/oranges. It is so soft it feels like a kitten.

This picture shows the repeating pattern which was actually easier than I thought. It is a downloaded pattern from Lion Brand's website - all hail LB.com. It's called Elegantly Simple Shawl.

The second picture is the complete shawl, it's a bout 5 feet long and 13 or 14 inches wide, I didn't measure it, this is a guesstimate. With the tendonitis in my hand/arm, it took me almost 3 weeks to complete. Tragically slow ... but it's done and it's beautiful.

Been a while ...

Its been awhile since I blogged. Stupid Google was useless in helping me to re-access my account having forgotten EVERYTHING from email address to password and the old secondary email I used for the account has been discontinued, so basically I didn't exist. WELL, I'm back. New email, same blog name because they couldn't find the first one - imagine ... so what's the point of the blogging thing again?

I've created a few things since I last blogged in January. This is a mini ID holder made from Lion Brand 50/50 cotton/poly. I have them in wonderful colors. And they were made with my favorite sized wooden hook 4.5mm.
I made this purse for Fulvia at work. She has since taken early retirement but was so very happy with it when I presented it to her in May as a birthday present. Again it from the same Lion Brand New Ease Cotton and coincidentally from a LB online pattern.
There's more, but I have to download the photos. I'll write more soon.
